Consistency had been the key factor for this runner, Haruki. Every day runs for 200 days! Finding time to run has not been the motto and it has always been Run is part of the daily schedule. This mindset is amazing as one will always find time if it’s considered a must to do. With over 180+ miles( 289 km)every month, there is no further proof of this training schedules
Some of the key moments where Mr. Haruki quoted :
“ You should be comfortable with yourself alone!.”
This is the same guy who was doing 60 cigarettes per day! and then turned around to transform into his former life of running.
The most important thing we ever learn at school is the fact that the most important things can’t be learned at school
Very vividly explains his run on the Original route from Athens to Marathon Village in Greece. The clear depiction of running conditions on the highway, with the carcass in the road, and the impact of sea salt on his body provides a feeling of you running in that route.
This photo is apt to get a picture of the author’s description of his Marathon Village running — in the Original route for Marathon

During training, he trains up the muscles(they) like speaking to the kid.
If you carefully increase the load, step by step, they learn to take it. As long as you explain your expectations to them by actually showing them examples of the amount of work they have to endure, your muscles will comply and gradually get stronger
Another one:
Show the Muscle who is the boss. Train it so that it complies, but does not burn out
With 23 FM under his belt, some of the famous tracks he had tackled.
3 NY Marathon
7 Boston Marathon
1 Greece Marathon
a 62 MILE ~100kms, Hokkaido
The authors’ observation of “Charles River” in Boston itself is worth writing another great review. Makes you wish to see this for yourself sometime in your life. Boston, Cambridge, and Harvard.
Another observation of the people who are walking, running, and jogging across the Charles River. is their description, the author’s view of their attitude, passing the buck from one generation to another generation.
It has never occurred to me that you can change your clothes, or shoes during the long runs like Marathon!. What an idea to keep yourself out of sweat and feel a fresh start! The shoes were a great tac. The author changed the size of the shoes from 8 to 8.5 after 34 miles, as the foot had got swollen a bit.
A fundamental rule during long runs that he had practiced all along. Keep running and don’t even walk a step!
